I know a few old persons who truly like looking for old-time sound. My grandmother is 77 years old and she is not an exclusion. Interestingly, she never really appreciated today's digital sound that much. When it was the alteration of sound and all the music started being developed on CDs, my grandmother carried on using vinyl.
My granny has been collecting all the possible vinyl records with her beloved bands and singers for several tens of years and this is obvious that he can't get accustomed of buying CDs. There are even some rare albums of the King of Rock'n'Roll. The great negative feature of vinyl is that it may be spoilt if it is used for hundred or even thousand times. When I began searching through what she has left, I found Sinatra, Pat Boone and lots of more old timers.
My granny wanted to prove for us, her grandchildren, that her music is worthy of praise. The basic purpose was to get the device that can assist to convert the record that is stored on vinyl in any digital sound form.
I was astonished when I found her near my notebook with a pile of her favorite vinyl albums and two USB turntables. She said that she got it from one audiophile site and she was not sure which version she would like to buy.
Lots of people even do not understand that such gadgets as USB turntables can help them to save their beloved old records that they have got only on vinyl. There are some different shapes and price ranges. (more…)
